We have launched a new report on access to substance misuse services by Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Trans communities in Bristol. The report highlights the need for specialist and targeted services to improve the reach to LGB and Trans communities in Bristol.
Berkeley Wilde, Director of the Diversity Trust said: “Whilst there are higher levels of substance misuse amongst LGB and Trans communities, there are low levels of uptake of services. Our report looks in detail at the available evidence from across the country. We have looked at access, barriers, prevelance and service use, and we are making recommendations to local commissioners and service providers for change. We are continuing our work with Bristol ROADS providers to increase the uptake of services by LGB and Trans communities locally.”
