Crossing The Line 1: Understanding sexual violence and harassment in the workplace

Creating an environment of care and respect

(2 hours)

This course is suitable for up to 20 people for an in-person session, or up to 15 people for an online session.

Overview

This course aims to increase understanding for all roles within an organisation on what sexual violence and harassment is, how it can be perpetrated in the workplace, its impact and how to create safe and supportive workplace environments. It covers legislation and organisational duty of care, which helps employers address the new legislation coming into effect in October 2024 which changes the duty on employers regarding sexual harassment from redress to prevention.

You will have some pre-session materials and during the session you will be able to as a group explore some scenarios and engage in discussion. At the end of the session we will share with you the course slides along with some post-session materials in order for you to do further learning and work in this area.
