Overview
This is our introductory course which explores the key themes of Equality, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. It includes analysis of these key themes and what they mean in practice. It will include an overview of equalities legislation, explore some of the barriers faced by equalities communities and groups and provide an opportunity to embed the course learning into practice. Please note this course is our entry level introductory programme and will be particularly useful for those who have no previous equalities training experience or are requiring a re-fresher.

Speak Up and Speak Out
Allyship, Anti-discrimination approaches and becoming an Active Bystander
This course enables organisations to continue to strive to support the creation of a respectful, inclusive and safe workplace community.
Attending this sessions will equip you with tools to become more confident in challenging negative behaviours and attitudes including inappropriate banter, bias, prejudice and discrimination, and understand how our influence and privilege can be used for benefit. Learn how to be a responsible ally, anti-discriminatory, and an active bystander.

This course equips participants with the skills to effectively develop and utilise Employee Network Groups (ENGs) as powerful tools for promoting inclusivity within organisations.
Participants will learn techniques for building and sustaining effective employee networks, including the creation of safe and brave spaces that encourage open dialogue and collaboration.
Participants will gain practical skills in planning, promoting, and delivering inclusive events, such as networking sessions, speaker series, and cultural celebrations, ensuring these activities are considerate of various intersecting identities.

Achieving Cultural Competence
The course explores the key themes of equality, diversity, equity and inclusion with a focus on the journey to becoming culturally competent. It will include analysis of these key areas and what they mean in practice. It will include an opportunity to reflect on what culture means in your organisation, explore the barriers faced by equalities communities, provide an opportunity to embed learning into practice and to get a better understanding of what it takes to become culturally competent.
