The Diversity Trust are working with BrigstoweThe Eddystone TrustUnity Sexual Health and South Gloucestershire Disability Equality Network to put on a public event to mark World AIDS Day.

Founded 30 years ago by two people who were working for the World Health Organisation, the premise of World AIDS Day was simple; to raise awareness and to dispel stigma. Our event will take place on Thursday 28th November 2019 from 6.00-9.00pm at Grimsbury Community Farm.

This year we’re focusing on information sharing. We know that there are still a lot of myths and misunderstandings and we want to help change this. We’re keeping things simple – offering a space for you to learn, ask questions and develop your knowledge of HIV and AIDS.

As well as interactive sessions with Brigstowe and The Eddystone Trust, we are delighted to announce that we will be joined by LeaSuwanna Griffith, a woman who is HIV+. Her presentation will be on ‘ Highlighting the Experiences of Women Living with HIV’.

Whether you’re a student nurse starting out, a seasoned social worker looking to broaden your knowledge or simply want to learn something new. Join us to talk facts, challenge fiction and bust some myths!
