For The Diversity Trust, Steve is a Consultant in:
- Equality, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion
- Mental Health and Well-being in the Workplace
With his multi sector background (sports development, local government and business management), Stephen Morley understands that mental health and race equality are cross cutting issues. Proactive in addressing inequalities, he’s an Inclusion Teacher, Author, Educator, Public Speaker and Mental Health Advocate. He offers a suite of training courses, including Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion, Mental Health & Wellbeing in the Workplace and Unconscious Bias.
Since moving into training in 2015, he leverages his deep experience in working with ethnic communities, the homeless, people with disabilities and people with mental health conditions. He was an Engagement Officer working with young offenders, founded CADMUS (a sports and social hub for young disabled people), worked to address the radicalisation of young Muslim men and led a programme promoting lifestyle changes for positive mental health.
He’s a great believer in ongoing professional development and is always learning. For example, he’s an ASSIST (Suicide Intervention) Trainer, Mental Health First Aid Trainer and Disability Awareness Trainer.
When not offering training and delivering workshops, Stephen enjoys mentoring and working with young people from disadvantaged backgrounds.
