The Diversity Trust is in the process of developing new volunteering roles and will advertise on this page and social media .
Our volunteering program is one of the ways in which we will amplify the voices of our communities. We are an equalities-led organisation. Our mission at The Diversity Trust is to ‘influence social change to create a fairer and safer society’. We work towards this mission in several ways.
We recognise the valuable contribution volunteers make to our work, which is why we want to offer mutually beneficial and meaningful volunteering opportunities. We are excited about our successful Voice and Influence National Lottery Community Fund Bid which has enabled us to grow our volunteering opportunities, which you can read more about here.
If you are a member of one of the communities, we work with or an ally and want to volunteer– we want to hear from you.

Testimonials from our volunteers:
“I noticed a huge improvement in my interpersonal and communication skills. Each session has been an opportunity to learn from one another, creating new experiences and perspectives. I also had various opportunities for training in trauma-informed support, mental health, and wellbeing. Overall, my experience volunteering for Diversity Trust has been incredibly valuable. This experience allowed me to contribute to the well-being of others, creating a welcoming community for all”. – Undra Astbury
“I have the privilege of volunteering with The Diversity Trust and have the pleasure of contributing to various projects across the enterprise. As a PhD academic, some of my skills fall within grant applications, research and journal writing. As such, I have been able to utilise these skills to help with grant applications from local funding bodies to help The Diversity Trust broaden and further their work supporting LGBTQ+ communities across the West of England through the Voice and Influence project. I also have been able to contribute to a series of white papers on Menopause within a research and writing capacity. Working with The Diversity Trust has been a wonderful experience. In addition to the flexibility of being able to work around my academic career, the work with The Diversity Trust is a two-way process. While I get to contribute to the important and impactful work that The Diversity Trust does across the country, I also get to broaden my knowledge greatly and have a wonderful opportunity to learn from various experts.” – Dr Michael McKeever
